My name is Marli Klaus and I am a certified Sleep Consultant, mom of three and wife to the best husband.
When I had my first baby, I thought I had things under control and that it was going to be a lot easier than it was. But even after years of experience babysitting children of all ages, nothing came close to preparing me for the birth of my first child.
Things started out pretty great and I felt prepared to handle what I expected to be just a few weeks of sleepless nights. Once I realized that we were several months in and things weren’t getting better, I didn’t know what to do.

they didn’t offer support, encouragement or the invaluable feeling of connection with a person who can help and truly understand.
I felt alone and insecure. ​
I needed to be the one to make the change and find a solution to fix this vicious cycle. I devoured every book and website that had ever been written on babies' sleep. I figured out what would work best for my daughter and our family and eventually, it worked! She began sleeping 12 hours a night and three solid naps throughout the day.
This sparked something within me. The deep desire to help other families give their child a full night’s sleep and have a place to feel heard and seek help specific to their needs.
I started talking about sleep training to anyone who would listen to me. I helped friends and family, and found myself offering input and advice on Facebook groups. At this point I had no idea that a sleep consulting certification even existed! As soon as I discovered it, I quickly signed up and became certified as a pediatric sleep consultant.
From the moment I began my training, I knew this is what I was meant to do with my life.
I quickly scaled my company and was able to leave my 13+ year career in corporate leadership when I replaced my income. I supported families from all over the world with improving their child's sleep in a way that felt aligned with their parenting style.
In 2023, I got the incredible opportunity to take over The Cradle Coach and The Cradle Coach Academy from the amazing Melissa Perry who founded it.
After receiving her own maternity, baby and toddler sleep consultant certification, and hiring, firing and rehiring certified pediatric sleep consultants, Melissa realized there were a few major things lacking in the industry: confident sleep consultants who had experience working with all different types of families, knowledge on all different types of methods - not just a one-size-fits-all approach - some understanding on the business of building a successful sleep consultant company, and support within their own communities of other like-minded consultants.
Melissa began to dream up The Cradle Coach Academy and with a clear vision, she built and launched the Academy in 2018.
So many women find themselves stuck in the daily grind of motherhood - cooking, cleaning, and changing diapers on repeat - but know they were made for more. They have a passion to help other tired families but don’t know where to begin. At The Cradle Coach Academy we offer online training courses in Baby + Toddler Sleep Consulting, Newborn Care Specialty, and Foster + Adoption Sleep Consulting to give women a way to have it all: a fulfilling career and the flexibility they need to keep their other job as a full-time mom.
We take the passion that’s within you, and help you create a successful sleep consultant company by training you with scientific knowledge, hands-on experience, and offering lifetime support.
